Like to wear makeup? Here’s a tip for you.
If you wear makeup on a regular basis, choose a lightweight oil-free or oil-contol formula. You may notice that your foundation makeup sinks into your pores, causing them to look larger. One easy solution is to apply a face primer before adding your foundation. The primer forms a barrier that gives you a smooth surface and prevents the makeup from migrating into pores and wrinkles.

A fun braid for super curly hair!
1. Pull hair to one side, then split it in half.
2. Fishtail-braid one pieces and secure with an elastic at the end.
3. Braid the other piece and wrap it around the fishtail braid at ear level. Use bobby pins to secure.
4. Don’t worry about loose pieces falling out — it adds to the boho-vibe!
Naturally curly hair is the perfect texture for fun braids. Try this one out for a laid-back date or your next gym class!

Hair Tips
Once a week, we apply coconut, olive or almond oil to hair, massage it in for five minutes, leave on for 10, then shampoo.
Leave it alone!
Above all, my biggest advice is to just leave your hair alone. Don’t drastically change the color, and don’t blow dry it and flat iron it every day. Use this summer to give your hair a break, wear your natural texture, and let it get healthy so it will grow.
Curling Hair Tips
If you’d rather curl with the curling iron, spray your hair with hairspray before you curl, let it sit for a second to dry (so it doesn’t sizzle), and then curl it. Once it’s curled, gently brush through the curl so it’s not crispy. The hairspray will help with the hold, but brushing it out will keep it looking soft. Best of both worlds!

Hair Curling Tip.
Flat iron curls tend to hold better than curling iron curls. It’s tricky at first to curl with the flat iron on yourself, but once you get it down you will be amazed how well they stay in! To curl, use a flat iron that’s thin, has rounded edges and gets hot on the outside as well. When curling, if you are getting kinks that means you are holding it too tight. If the flat iron won’t slide down the hair, try brushing out the section first so it’s nice and smooth.
Wrap—don’t clamp—your hair for quick curls.
When using a curling iron, you don’t need to fasten your locks to the barrel. Wrap sections around the iron and hold in place for about 10 seconds to score the same soft, sexy curls.

Avocado Hair Mask
Combine two egg whites with half of a mashed-up avocado; leave it in hair for 15 minutes, then wash and condition. It’s a fast and inexpensive natural remedy that leaves hair super-smooth.
